2013 Senior Executives Mission to Brunei Darussalam

Brunei is active, engaged, and prepared for their 2013 ASEAN Chairmanship. Coming from the intersection of AEC, RCEP, TPP, and APEC, Brunei has developed its capacity to be flexible and agile in navigating through sensitive issues. In particular, Brunei is very keen on partnering with the private sector to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for the ASEAN Community and leverage to “punch above its weight.” Brunei’s chairmanship theme, “Our People, Our Future Together,” is a one indication that community building and greater cooperation will be a policy priority for 2013.
