Welcome Luncheon for H.E. Virachai Plasai, Incoming Ambassador of Thailand to the United States

The Council is pleased to host a Welcome Luncheon for H.E. Virachai Plasai, the incoming Ambassador of Thailand to the United States. Ambassador Virachai has already enjoyed a distinguished diplomatic career, most recently as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations (2015-2018), and previously as Ambassador to the Netherlands (2009-2015). He has also served as Director-General of Thailand's Department of International Economy Affairs, and as legal counsel before the World Trade Organization and the International Court of Justice. We are excited to welcome Ambassador Virachai to Washington on behalf of the U.S. business community. In addition to Royal Thai Embassy and other ASEAN officials, the luncheon will include U.S. government and other key stakeholders. The luncheon will be a unique opportunity to engage Ambassador Virachai at the very beginning of his tenure, to underscore the Council's dedication to strengthening the U.S.-Thailand relationship.
