Welcome Lunch for Philippine Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Jose Manuel "Babe" Romualdez

Please save the date for the US-ASEAN Business Council's lunch welcoming H.E. Jose Manuel "Babe" Romualdez, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the United States, to his post in Washington, D.C.  Ambassador Romualdez was nominated for the Ambassadorship to the United States by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on July 27.  Less than a month later on August 23, his appointment was confirmed by the Commission on Appointments.

Before becoming Ambassador, Romualdez was publisher and CEO of Stargate/PeopleAsia and was also a columnist for the Philippine Star newspaper.  Prior to his official nomination, Ambassador Romualdez served as special envoy to the United States in the Duterte administration.  Ambassador Romualdez's official bio can be found here.
