Equipped with the knowledge gained from the engagements on this trip, the delegation will report back to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on how Vietnam can strengthen the rule of law and improve its business environment to allow for innovation to thrive.
The Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Team was established on July 28, 2017 to help Prime Minister Phuc evaluate economic initiatives and business-related legislation proposed by various government agencies. PMEAT also serves as a knowledge hub that seeks advice and counsel from experts around the world to help the Prime Minister make informed decisions. PMEAT members include prominent economists, academics and former senior government economic officials residing in Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, France and the United States. Prime Minister Phuc meets with PMEAT on a monthly basis and consults with individual PMEAT members regularly.
