Please save the date for an Indonesia Committee Meeting to discuss and develop our 2013 Indonesia Work Plan. We will discuss which issues should be a priority for Council advocacy in 2013, and discuss our 2013 agenda for both Jakarta and DC-based Indonesia programs and events, including the 2013 Indonesia Business Mission. Members will have the opportunity to give their feedback on the Council's planned programming for 2013, and suggest additional programming that would be of value. A copy of a draft 2013 work plan will be sent to members ahead of the meeting.
This meeting will be directly followed by a discussion with Indonesian Ambassador Dino Patti Djalal, during which we will discuss:
1. The Council’s priorities for engaging Indonesia in 2013, and the priority issues our companies have identified for 2013. The Ambassador will give input on our anticipated work for 2013, and suggest additional areas where it may be valuable to focus.
2. The Indonesian Embassy’s priorities for 2013, particularly any major events, such as the 2012 Indonesian Investment Day, that the Indonesia Committee members should be aware of and may help to be supportive of.
3. The Council’s planned activities around APEC 2013, both in the U.S. and Jakarta. The Council co-chairs the U.S.-APEC Business Coalition along with the National Center for APEC in 2013,and in this role will be responsible for helping to develop the agenda of private sector activities at APEC in 2013, including at the CEO Summit. The Ambassador will give feedback on our planned activities and suggest additional areas of focus.
