Follow Up Meeting with the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower on US-ABC Manpower Engagement Platform

In March 2018, the Council hosted a meeting with the Ministry of Manpower to formally kick-off a platform initiated by the US-ASEAN Business Council with the Manpower Minister Hanif Dhakiri. The platform have been used to clarify manpower regulations and to advocate for expat working permit which no longer requires the recommendation from the line ministries. Moreover, this platform is used by US-ABC members to present their programs for the Ministry of Manpower.

As a follow up to the meeting, the U.S. Ambassador would like to invite US-ABC members to participate in a meeting with Minister Hanif at the Ambassador’s Residence. This will be a great opportunity for members to provide substantial update and results after the previous meeting. Please note that this meeting have limited space and prioritized for members that have updates following the previous meeting on US-ABC Manpower Engagement Platform. However, the member who has program updates for Ministry of Manpower is also welcome to join.
