As Ambassador Ted Osius concludes his successful tour in Vietnam, the US-ASEAN Business Council is calling for sponsorship to organize farewell receptions for him to show American business community's appreciation for his service. |
FARE WELL RECEPTION FOR AMBASSADOR TED OSIUS |
Participants: Senior central and provincial government officials, US embassy and consulate officials, US corporate executives, local business leaders, the heads of international organizations and prominent intellectuals. |
Ambassador Osius’s talent and hard work has helped elevate the US – Vietnam relations to remarkable new heights, with a historic visit by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the United States in 2015 and president Barack Obama’s visit to Vietnam in 2016. During Ambassador Osius’s term, US exports in goods to Vietnam rose from $5.7 bn in 2014 to over $10.1 bn in 2016, a whopping 77% increase. He and his country team have spared no efforts in advocating for the US business community, leaving an important foot print in many of the big business deals our companies have had with Vietnam over the past 3 years. The Council is honored to count Ambassador Osius among our close friends and supporters. |
