Ambassador Jose Cuisia, Jr., is leaving his post as Philippine Ambassador to the United States, a position he has held since April 2011. Over the past five years, Ambassador Cuisia and the Philippines Embassy have shown tremendous dedication to further strengthening the robust relationship between the Philippines and the United States. During his time as Ambassador, he has assiduously supported the Council and its mission to promote U.S. investment in the Philippines and improve U.S.-Philippines business relations, regularly partnering with the Council for events and fora to raise awareness about the opportunities that exist in the country. His exceptional accomplishments as Ambassador were recently recognized when President Aquino conferred on him the prestigious Order of Sikatuna, with the rank of Grand Cross (Gold Distinction), an honor reserved for those who have rendered extraordinary and meritorious services to the Philippines. The Council considers Ambassador Cuisia a dear friend and we are honored to bid farewell to him as he leaves Washington, DC, to return to the Philippines.
We hope you will join us in honoring the Ambassador and wishing him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
