Please join us for an Energy Committee Meeting to discuss and develop our 2013 Energy Work Plan. We will discuss which issues should be a priority for Council advocacy in 2013, and discuss our 2013 agenda for both Southeast Asia and DC-based Indonesia programs and events, including the 2013 Mission to the ASEAN Ministers of Energy Meetings, energy mini-missions attached to larger country missions, and workshops on topics such as the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative and renewable energy for ASEAN officials. Members will have the opportunity to give their feedback on the Council's planned programming for 2013, and suggest additional programming that would be of value. A copy of a draft 2013 work plan will be sent to members ahead of the meeting.
This meeting will be directly followed by a discussion with several of the officials from ASEAN Embassies responsible for energy. This will be the first meeting the Energy Working Group has hosted with the officials, and will be a good opportunity for companies to get to know several useful Embassy points of contact. We will brief them on our planned programs for engaging ASEAN in 2013, and the priority issues our companies have identified for 2013. In turn, the officials will offer input on our anticipated work for 2013, and suggest additional areas where it may be valuable to focus and programs that they think would be useful.
