Business Dialogue and Policy Roundtable in honor of Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, 21 September 2023, UNGA sidelines

On the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly 78 in New York City, the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will co-host a business dialogue and policy roundtable in honor of H.E. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia. Click here for the Malaysia Prime Minister’s biography.   

Ahead of the policy roundtable, gold sponsors will have the opportunity to join a VIP session with the Prime Minister and his economic leads before the start of the formal program. 

After the informal VIP session, doors open for a general reception line then the formal program of the policy roundtable with U.S. business leaders begins. The program ends with a group photo.  

Prime Minister Ibrahim will use his first official trip to the United States to focus on the importance of the bilateral economic relationship. We expect to host several high-level cabinet officials at our September 21st event, including:  

• H.E. Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, Ambassador of Malaysia to the United States 
• H.E. Dato’ Seri Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir, Minister of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) 
• H.E. Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) 
• H.E. Dr. Zaliha binti Mustafa, Minister of Health or MOH senior official, TBD​
