Breakfast Briefing and Final Planning Call for the 2018 Indonesia Business Mission featuring His Excellency Budi Bowoleksono, Ambassador of Indonesia to the United States
Ambassador Budi Bowoleksono is currently the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the United States of America. He presented his letters of credence to the President on May 21, 2014. Prior to assuming his present assignment, Ambassador Bowoleksono was the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
Previously, Ambassador Bowoleksono served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Kenya in Nairobi (2008-2010), which also covers Seychelles, Mauritius, Uganda, UNEP, and UNHCR.
Ambassador Bowoleksono graduated from Krisnadwipayana University in Jakarta in 1984. He started his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1986 and since then he had been assigned to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations in New York, the Indonesian Permanent Mission in Geneva, and the Indonesian Permanent Mission in Vienna.
In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was assigned at various offices such as Directorate General of Foreign Economic Relations; Directorate General of ASEAN Cooperation; Directorate General of Multilateral Affairs; and the Secretariat General.
Ambassador Bowoleksono is married to Reshanty Bowoleksono who is also a career diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and blessed with a son, Lebdo Handaru Bowoleksono.
