2020 Virtual Singapore Business Mission

The US-ASEAN Business Council is registering senior-level executives for the Virtual Business Mission to Singapore on November 16-20, 2020. This virtual mission will offer members the opportunity to engage key Singapore Government officials after the General Elections and Cabinet reshuffle in July. The virtual mission will be a series of interactive Zoom sessions timed for participants based in Southeast Asia and the United States to be able to join. 

The Council proposes the following overarching themes to frame company specific messages and/or policy advocacy reform priorities during the mission while engaging the Government of Singapore including  political office-holders, recently elected or appointed after the General Elections and Cabinet reshuffle:
 

  1. Supporting Singapore’s COVID-19 response and recovery
  1. Improving health outcomes
  2. Accelerating digital transformation
  3. Safely reopening the economy with unhampered movement of goods and managed movement of people and workers
  1. Advancing the Digital Economy in Singapore and ASEAN
  1. Encouraging Digital Payments and supporting SMEs
  2. Building Smart cities
  3. Promoting Smart commerce and supply chain digitalization
  4. Ensuring cybersecurity, safe and secure data
  1. Keeping Trade free and open during and post-COVID-19
  1. Ensuring ambitious outcomes in FTAs like RCEP
  2. Encouraging Digital Economy Partnerships and arrangements  
  3. Bringing back confidence to international and domestic travel and tourism
  1. Leveraging Singapore innovation in achieving a sustainable and resilient Future Economy
  1. Promoting Environmental Sustainability and Energy
  2. Investing in Research and Development, Skills, Workforce Development, Productivity

  3. Minister S. Iswaran, Ministry for Communications and Information and Minister for International Trade with representatives from Info-communications and Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Cyber Security Agency (CSA)

Note: Once your registration is initiated using the link in this invitation, you have the option to cancel your registration to you have the option to cancel your registration to receive a full refund up to October 30. After this date, your registration cannot be canceled and you will be liable for all registration fees.

Participating companies are encouraged to submit requested documents and information on our Business Mission portal as early as possible. The required materials include:

  1. Registration and billing information
  2. Biography and delegate picture
  3. Company profile (including link to company website and corporate video if available) and company logo
  4. Meeting priority and talking points (including link to supporting documents/ reports / articles if available)
  5. CSR Report​
The deadline for receipt of mission materials is COB Friday, October 30, 2020. After this date, your company details may not be included in the briefing materials presented to the government.
