2013 USABC Energy Business Mission

The US-ASEAN Business Council is now registering senior-level executives for its 2013 Energy Business Mission to the ASEAN Energy Ministers Meeting (AMEM) in Bali, Indonesia from Tuesday-Thursday, September 24-26, 2013. 
 
The theme of this year's AMEM is "Energy Sustainability for ASEAN Prosperity". The AMEM will take place from September 23-27th.

The following meetings have been proposed/requested. Companies are welcome to suggest other meetings: 

1. USABC Dialogue with all 10 ASEAN Energy Ministers
2. Bilateral meeting with Secretary General Minh, ASEAN Secretariat 
3. Bilateral meeting with H.E. Pehin Dato Mohammad Yasmin Umar, Brunei
4. Bilateral meeting with H.E. Jero Wacik, Indonesia
5. Bilateral meeting with Y.B. Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui, Malaysia
6. Bilateral meeting with H.E. U Zeyar Aung, Myanmar
7. Bilateral meeting with H.E. Carlos Jericho Petilla, Philippines
8. Bilateral meeting with H.E. S. Iswaran, Singapore
9. Bilateral meeting with H.E. Pongsak Ruktapongpaisal, Thailand
10. Bilateral meeting with H.E. Vu Huy Hoang, Vietnam
11. Bilateral meeting with Deputy Secretary Poneman, U.S. Department of Energy
12. Meeting with Ms. Maria J.A. Van der Hoeven, Executive-Director of IEA


The deadline for receipt of registration and mission materials is September 4th.

If your company would like to participate in the 2013 AMEM Mission please submit the following as soon as possible:
1. Registration and payment form 
2. Bios of member delegates in Word format
3. Company profile in Word format
4. Company logo in print quality format
5. Submissions on current challenges, issues, and/or questiosn about doing business in the Energy Sector in ASEAN. Note- issues can be ASEAN-wide and/or country specific.

Fees/Admission

 

Mission Cost
AMEM Mission Fee:  $2,500 (covers two representatives. Companies may add one additional representative for $500.)
 
Fees for the registration of additional representatives apply unless it is a headquarters-based C-Suite executive (CEO, CFO, COO) which are complimentary in addition to two company representatives. Mission fees cover expenses for Business Mission program preparation and execution, overhead costs for Council staff and hired service vendors, meal programs and receptions during the mission. Delegates are responsible for their own air travel, meals, lodging, local transportation (except between meetings), visas, and all other related travel costs.
 
ASEAN Energy Business Forum (optional):
If you wish to register for the AEBF in addition to the Council-led Energy Mission, you may choose to do so and will receive a 50% discount if you register through the Council. The discounted registration fee is $997.50 per delegate. 
When you register for the Mission please indicate your preference for this optional addition.
 
Hotel Information:
The Council has a reservation block with the Westin Nusa Dua. More details and a reservation code for the hotel will follow. 
 
Visa Information:
The Council will provide letters of support as requested for visa clearance. Please send an email to Alexandra Stuart at astuart@usasean.org
