The Minister will be meeting with various organizations including the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases\, the CDC's Emergency Operations Center\, National Institute of Health (NIH)\, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and the Department of State.  \n\n			\n\n			This is an excellent opportunity for members to learn about the healthcare landscape and related issues in Laos\, as well as an opportunity to meet and share perspectives with government officials from key offices in the ministry. The delegation includes:  \n			\n				H.E. Prof. Dr. Eksavang Vongvichit Biography: \n\n			Prof. Eksavang Vongvichit\, M.D.\, Ph.D.\, has been the Lao People's Democratic Republic's Minister of Health since 2011. Born August 4\, 1952\, Dr. Eksavang is warm and outgoing\, and speaks good English\, French\, Russian and Vietnamese. Trained in Cardiology and Administration\, Dr. Eksavang has worked for the Ministry of Health since 1976. He received an M.D. from the Hanoi Medical University in Vietnam in 1975 and a Ph.D. from the Kharkov Medical Institute in Russia in 1981.
