In this briefing session OPIC's products and programs to support private sector investments in emerging markets will be introduced and explained: these include loans and loan guaranties\, political risk insurance\, and private equity. \n\n\n\nWith these products OPIC has catalyzed over $200 billion of investment in emerging markets around the world and supported U.S. private sector participation in the development of those economies. OPIC is active in a wide range of sectors\, from infrastructure to manufacturing to microfinance. \n\n \n\nIts Bangkok regional office\, opened in late 2014 by Geoffrey Tan\, Managing Director Asia Pacific\, reflects a commitment to expanding such support in the Asia Pacific region. The visit from Washington D.C. of Ms. Kimberly Heimert\, OPIC's General Counsel\, similarly reflects OPIC's commitment to the Philippines.
