The Council has been invited to provide input on the topics of the Forum by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) of Vietnam\, who will co-organize the Forum with Singapore's Infocomm Media and Development Authority (IMDA). According to the Framework\, the Forum "should function as an avenue for effective dissemination of information on emerging digital trends and the relevant regulatory issues. Such forums can also include hands-on workshops for participants to experiment with the latest technological solutions\, and to motivate them to adopt new technologies. Ideally\, these forums would encourage collaboration between technology firms and other private and public sector organisations\, promote data-driven innovation and improve awareness on key issues such as cybersecurity in ASEAN."
