SUMMARY:Discussion with The ASEAN Capital Markets Forum on a "Post-2015 ASEAN Capital Markets Integration Agenda"
DESCRIPTION:The ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) has invited Financial Services Committee members to the ACMF's second of two meetings to be held in 2014. The ACMF has expressed interest in hearing committee members' perspectives on topics including: \n\n\n	Private sector feedback on the ACMF initiatives that have been implemented such as the ASEAN Collective Investment Scheme Framework\, ASEAN Disclosure Standards Scheme and suggestions for the ACMF regarding a post-2015 integration agenda.\n	Challenges and impediments faced by the private sector in complementing regulators' efforts to develop an integrated capital markets in ASEAN.\n	Suggestions on how ASEAN regulators could enhance communication and engagement to maximize opportunities for the private sector.\n	Suggestions on how the private sector could complement regulators' integration efforts\, e.g. introducing new products to the market\, logistics and research support\, etc.\n	Suggestions on regulator-private sector partnership to support the development of the Brunei\, Cambodia\, Laos\, Myanmar and Vietnamese capital markets.\n	Recent developments/innovations in global financial markets and how would they impact ASEAN markets\, including implications for cross-border capital flows and investment flows.\n\n\nThis discussion would ideally augment Financial Services Committee members' inputs for a white paper on a post-2015 ASEAN capital markets integration agenda to be submitted to ACMF Chairman Lee Boon Ngiap later this year. To discuss contributing to that paper or suggest additional topics of discussion for the September 5 event\, please contact John Corrigan at jcorrigan@usasean.org or Shay Wester at swester@usasean.org.
