The program features John Wood\, Room to Read Founder and Board Co-Chair\, who left a lucrative career at Microsoft to found Room to Read\, an award-winning nonprofit that promotes education\, gender equality and literacy worldwide.\n\n				\n\n				The luncheon will be an excellent opportunity for members to learn about and explore corporate social responsibility opportunities within various educational programs that Room to Read is currently organizing at in Cambodia\, Laos\, Vietnam and Indonesia (coming up in 2014). \n\n				\n\n				John has been featured in Forbes\, Time\, Barron's\, Reader's Digest\, CNN\, CNBC\, Fortune\, Parade\, Wall Street Journal\, Washington Post\, USA Today and others. He has been a guest on Oprah & Charlie Rose\, and authored Leaving Microsoft to Change the World\, and more recently Creating Room to Read: A Story of Hope in the Battle for Global Literacy. John also teaches at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and New York University's Stern School of Business\, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Clinton Global Initiative.
