DESCRIPTION:The Council is pleased to invite members to sponsor the first Forum of the 2019 ASEAN-US Digital Policy Consultative Forum ("DPCF")\, to be held on April 8 in the Philippines. This is a continuation of the ASEAN-US Digital Policy Consultative Forum first launched in 2018.\n\n\n\nThe first DPCF of 2019 will be held alongside the ASEAN TELSOM-ATRC Leaders' Retreat from April 8-10\, hosted by the Philippines. It will be the first part of a three-part series held alongside each of the TELSOM-ATRC meetings of 2019. The DPCF across 2019 will focus on strengthening digital data governance in ASEAN. The 1st DPCF in the Philippines will focus specifically on enabling the growth of the data ecosystem in ASEAN\, specifically by creating an attractive environment for increased investment in this ecosystem.\n\n\n\nThe DPCF will serve as a collaborative platform for policymakers and stakeholders to examine and exchange views on challenges to creating an enabling environment\, and what policy approaches and solutions the public and private sector can collaborate on to address these challenges and grow ASEAN's data ecosystem. \n\n \n\nAround 50 participants from ASEAN TELSOM   ATRC\, industry representatives and subject matters experts such as academic\, think-tanks\, trade associations\, and others are expected to attend the Forum.
