SUMMARY:2020 Malaysia Digital Policy Consultative Forum
DESCRIPTION:During the US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC)'s annual 2019 Business Mission to Malaysia\, US-ABC members shared recommendations around the ASEAN Framework on Digital Data Governance with various Ministries and agencies. During the meeting with Malaysia's Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI)\, US-ABC was requested to propose a cross-sectoral dialogue that would discuss the key challenges and opportunities for Malaysia's digital economy\, as well as the ways in which industry could collaborate with the Government to strengthen the country's digital economy environment.\n\n\n\nThis digital economy dialogue hopes to expand upon the work under the "ASEAN-US Digital Policy Consultative Forum" (DPCF)\, which serves as a series of roundtable discussions between the private sector and ASEAN policymakers designed to facilitate in-depth dialogue on priority digital economy issues.
