SUMMARY:2019 ASEAN Multistakeholder (OTT) Dialogue
DESCRIPTION:At the 2018 TELSOM+US Consultation\, the Council proposed supporting ASEAN's efforts to formalize an ASEAN Telecommunications Regulators Council (ATRC) OTT Dialogue\, following the second ATRC OTT Dialogue held from 25-26 June 2018 in Kuala\, Lumpur Malaysia. The institutionaliztion of an ASEAN OTT Dialogue was endorsed at the 2018 Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministers (TELMIN) Meetings\, with the plan for the dialogue to be held bi-annually\, and for the first dialogue to be industry-led. The Dialogue was also re-named to the "ASEAN Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue" to welcome the inclusion of stakeholders outside of the ATRC involved in OTT policymaking. \n\n\n\nThe 2019 ASEAN Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue will take place on May 16\, 2019 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM in Singapore. The Dialogue aims to provide a platform for ASEAN telecommunication regulators\, OTT service providers and network service providers to exchange views on the topic of OTT service management and regulation. Around 50 participants from ASEAN regulators\, private sector representatives and subject matter experts such as academic\, think-tanks\, trade associations\, and others are expected to attend the Dialogue.\n\n\n\nPlease contact Shay Wester (swester@usasean.org) and Ella Duangkaew (eduangkaew@usasean.org).
